Community Gardens' Open Day

Many of Portsmouth's Community gardens will be throwing open their doors and gates to invite residents to drop in between 11-3pm and see what goes on, how they can volunteer, or even learn how to grow their own fruit and vegetables.

Portsmouth Friends of the Earth have organised a short linear walk exploring a few of the gardens. Meet 10.45 for 11am start outside John Pounds Centre, 23 Queen Street.

Gardens will be open from 11am to 3pm. All you need to do is drop by, say hello and see how good it feels to #GetGrowing!

Gardens open include: *Hilsea Fruiting Hedge, PO3 5ET, Fratton Global Garden @Manor Infant School, PO1 5QR; Stacey Centre Community Orchard PO3 6DN, Cornwallis Crescent Orchard, PO1 4DF, Landport Community Garden, PO1 1JD, The Porters Historic Garden, PO1 3LJ, Treadgolds Community Garden, PO1 3DAOmega Centre, PO5 4LPSomerstown Adventure Playground Garden, PO5 4HS, *Wimbledon Park Patch, PO5 2UP, Southsea Green, PO4 9RG, Milton Piece Community Allotment, PO4 8L. *these spaces will be unattended but available to visit
